SAS Design is a Design consulting studio focusing on ingenious design solution, including remodeling and new construction. It intends to offer simple solutions after absorbing the different kinds of information & choices. It encompasses the austere aesthetic of minimalism while looking forward to the cutting edge challenge with an innovative way to lead our future living.Architect Shilpa Sawant obtained her professional degree from the esteemed Sir, J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai. Coming from a rich family history of association with the architectural industry, design & Aesthetics appreciation came to her naturally. As a child she was always inclined towards paper art from early age which helped her express her creative imagination and ideas which in turn led her to the design field. Being one of the founder members of Astitva Architects with her brother & having worked with renowned architect Mrs. Brinda Somaya at S & K Consultants, she started her own practice under the brand SAS Design with the philosophy of commitment to design excellence.With over a decade of professional experience in the architectural industry, she has gained diversified knowledge and exposure of the various facets of the practice. She has garnered rich experience while executing numerous interior and architectural projects in different geographical locations. Many of her works, including her own house, have been covered by prestigious publications. She has also been a visiting faculty member for Interior Design in the esteemed Sir, J.J. College of Architecture.
Origami Work
Born and raised in Mumbai, Yashashree completed her bachelors from Sir J.J . College of Architecture, Mumbai in 2006.An explorer by nature, she has keen interest towards art, culture and spirituality.Her experiences with multiple established studios have helped her evolve and broadened her design vision.
As an Architect, Sarnali believes that we have an impact the on the society and hence, it keeps her motivated to learn, explore in this journey of Architecture.With strong communication and management skills Sarnali has managed several projects independently.Her efforts to learn new techniques has enriched her skillset.
Pragati thinks architecture is not a domain limited to buildings but is an art that's so far evident on each and every entity in this world.Self motivation and creativity of hers has contributed in studio's growth.With ample skill set and experience, ambitious and creative Pragati, is eager to make her mark in the world of design.

Type : Lobby & Common amenities Design for K.Raheja Princess, Dadar, Mumbai
Area : 1550 sqft, (In collaboration with DIG Architects)
Year of completion : 2008
Luxurious design palate offered for the Lobby & common amenities of a residential tower. The linearity is been extended to the landscaping of the poolside area, the sit outs, paneling and also through the use of wall paper.
Nostrum Fashion, Mumbai
Type : Studio Office for Nostrum Fashion
Area : 1500 sqft, (In collaboration with DIG Architects)
Year of completion : 2015
A distinctive design solution for a young brand was offered by means of Cabin volumes, strong geometric suspended light feature with colour therapy in raw industrial setup and subdued outer volume in black colour and stone. Played with basic geometric forms to achieve a proportionate product. Keeping the Industrial feel, the space was give a breather with planned landscaping.

An inspiring space for designers who needed to focus just on creativity for a textile industrialist, was achieved with keeping monochrome color palate, where the textiles would get neutral background to standout. Adhering to the client's brie, a focused space was planned technically right and atmospherically correct !

A part of house designed to a perfect Boutique set up in pastal color tones with rustic floor and glinting accessories reflecting brand identity. The inviting design allows the visitors to take their time and feel comfortable while splurging in Shimmer Collection. This lively space also doubles up as a Guest Bedroom with element of surprise. The color tunable lights, pull out bed & hidden roller blinds do the transformation of a boutique into a bedroom.

A 2 bhk apartment designed for an family of Mumbai who truly believed in simplicity. A simplistic approach with a color tint elevated the space feel. As designer we ensure that every space has a unique soul and is treated specially. Following the Moroccan color palate, the design indented to provide the house a style no less than a celebrity home. The shade of blush flows through the house tying the spaces while the wooden floor brings the desired coziness and comfort.

A sea facing luxury pod was designed for a special client who wished for a young, high-end and a party space within their existing family house. The material palette was exclusive and camouflaging the high end gadgets successfully allowing space to lounge have large gettogethers.

A 2 bhk apartment designed for an entrepreneur who wished for an upscale living with simplistic Scandinavian styled interiors. Overall approach was to keep the Norwegian color palette with very stylish furniture and lighting. Overall bright and clutter free space with wooden base tile and little splash of pop colors. The cement wall is created for as the main backdrop for living and allows to express the purity of space.

Keeping Scandinavian look at the base a chic glamour is brought to a Metro city apartment by adding wooden floor and a fresh colors against grey base along with distinctive artwork.
Apartments may be smaller, but they can still pack a stylish punch. So long as you implement small apartment design tricks like zoning, multifunctional spaces, custom closets to hide belongings, minimum visual clutter, seamless surfaces, a space can transform from routine to bold.

This elegant house is designed for an young urban home owners having specific taste for colours.
Use of neutral colour palatte base was preferred which included grey
terazzo tile at its base flooring throughtout the home with white paint flowing on the vertical surfaces. This mononony is broken with patch of colours and the cozyness is introduced by the controlled use of wood finish. overall the choice of materials and simplicity in the form, imparts pleasant and peaceful vibe to family and visitors.

A 5 bhk duplex designed for a contemporary couple living with identity and comfort. Taking advantages of the reflective surface in order to give guts, depth, and a dimension perhaps a little Mystical to everyday objects and furniture. Reflections add illusive spaces and at the same time adding to the rich effect and lavish feel.

The relaxed and chic Scandinavian décor in this 2,500 sq.ft. apartment represents an attempt to test deified set rules and experiment with materials, textures and colours. A perfect amalgamation of simplicity and style, the only ornament of this design is its logic and truth.

The designers experimented with this 1300 sq. ft. space to create a contemporary design with a dash of serenity. Working around the existing structure of a split-level, attempts were made to ensure that every area flowed seamlessly into the next. A predominant use of pastel shades added a South East Asian charm.

This Goa based Luxury Contemporary Villa Interior Design is definitely the pinnacle of effortless sophistication. It respects the cultural aspect and at the same time provides a modern lifestyle to the family.

At 753 sq. ft. it was imperative to utilize the space optimally. Multi-functional units, smart camouflaging and a subtle blend of colors ensured just that. Discreet but adequate lighting gives the entire space a sophisticated, uncluttered look.

In order to create a luxury of space in this 800 sq. ft. house, the structural and technical elements of the apartment are all carefully concealed. Views and flow-through areas are created between the various spaces. Objects and colours are distributed in a dynamic composition in order to avoid monotony or boredom caused by a too neutral interior.

Strong believers in the Philosophy of ‘form has to follow function’, the designers treated this space like a huge volume wrap, with every element falling into place rather than standing out individually. Straight lines and cold white expanses with just a hint of colour adhere to rigorous definitions of a ‘minimalistic’ design.

A makeover for lakeside house with cozy feel. The consequent design just grew on this central idea. All the lake view facing windows were turned into breathers to help the lake breeze & light filter and move freely into house at the same time offering a great vista. The plan concept is then further refined to show openings, furnishings, providing a clearer representation of how the spaces relate to one another as well as to the exterior landscape beyond.

Carving out more space in this 500 sq. ft. flat and giving it a facelift through the intelligent use of contemporary materials like steel and glass was the key to create a design that speaks volumes in a small house. The designers adhered to a volumetric approach in using elements that were not in your face but that blended with the entire space. Cantilevered partitions allowed for visual continuity, making the space look unrestricted

Materials used in this 1,500 sq. ft. house do not scream out their incongruity but blend in perfectly with the site and what it stands for. Natural wood of ebony and zebrano veneers could flaunt its personality when contrasted against warm montone colour schemes. A discerning choice of painting and accessories complemented the look appropriately. The lighting styles created mood and drama.
